Tsinghua High School student community service implementation plan

(Revised in 2017)

According to the national "ordinary high school Curriculum Plan (Experiment)" requirements, senior one and senior two students must participate in no less than 10 working days (a total of 80 hours) of community service, a total of 2 credits。

I. Definition of community service

Under the guidance of teachers and parents, community service is a comprehensive practical activity in which students go out of campus and participate in community public welfare activities with the purpose of acquiring direct experience, developing practical ability and enhancing social responsibility。Such activities aim to guide students to understand social life, cultivate students' sense of citizenship, sense of social responsibility and spirit of ownership, improve their spiritual realm, and promote the continuous improvement of personality。

Community service is different from social practice and research learningVolunteer serviceAs the main feature of practical activities。It can contain the following contents:

1.Community Labor Service:Including helping the community to distribute newspapers, letters, community green plant maintenance, cleaning corridors, garbage sorting and other labor within the capacity;

2.Community culture construction:Assist the neighborhood committee to publish wall posters, organize or participate in charity sale activities in the community, organize recreational activities for the community residents, etc.;

3.Community Promotion Activities:Carry out publicity activities on water conservation and protection in the community;To investigate and publicize the status of garbage classification in the community and put forward suggestions for improvement;To introduce to community residents the knowledge of laws, regulations and policies closely related to production and life;With the approval of the traffic control department,Carry out traffic safety publicity or traffic diversion activities at intersections and bus stops near the community。

4.Community public welfare activities:Carry out "sending warmth" activities, such as accompanying the elderly, taking care of children, doing housework for the sick and disabled, cleaning furniture, etc.;To carry out voluntary service activities in nursing homes, welfare homes, hospice hospitals, education schools and other places;

5.Volunteer explanation activities:Use holidays to libraries, museums, exhibition halls, science and technology museums or tourist attractions to do voluntary explanation, maintenance and other services。

6.Student assistance or volunteer teaching activities:Guide primary and secondary school students in the community to carry out reading and learning activities;Take advantage of weekends to open educational activities in the primary schools of migrant workers' children near the community;Use winter and summer vacation to remote areas to experience life and carry out volunteer teaching activities。

7.Career Experience Activities:Career experience activities during the holidays。

8.Scientific, social and cultural investigation activities:Scientific, social and cultural exchange activities at home and abroad。

9.School service or Volunteer activities:Such as acting as the school discipline inspector, the school history museum docent, library assistant, the school organization charity donation, in the school large-scale activities as volunteers。

2. Management of community service hours

Students in Grade One and Grade Two participate in at least 40 hours of community service per school year。Students are required to complete at least 20 hours of community service each semester. Those who fail to complete the service in the current semester may be deferred to the next semester, but not to the next academic year。

3. Community service evaluation and identification

1. The evaluation of community service course adopts process evaluation。The evaluation is mainly carried out from the aspects of the amount of time, attitude, harvest and activity effect。

2Every time students participate in community service, they must fill in the "community service record form" carefully. After being signed (stamped) by the community leader or the activity referrer, they shall submit it to the class teacher's office at the beginning of the term. The class teacher will collect it all and submit it to the Student Development Center for record。Remind students to take photos and keep information in community service, and finally upload the community service record form, photos of the activity process, and experiences to the corresponding projects of the comprehensive quality evaluation system。

3.Activities with more than 20 participants must be registered with the Student Development Center via the campus email。The Student Development Center will supervise and monitor the whole process of community service activities and record dishonest or uncivilized behaviors in community service activities。

4. Some suggestions on community service

1.Organization form:It is suggested that students use the holiday time to carry out community service activities in the way of "parental guidance and group cooperation"。

2.Safety notice: Parents are responsible for the safety of students during community service。In case of emergency or situation, please contact the community leader, the class teacher, and call the emergency number in time。
